What is the AFOQT?

The Armed Forces Officer Qualification Test (AFOQT) is a college level aptitude test designed to measure fitness for commissioning in the Air Force and other military services. Higher scoring individuals have proved to be superior performers in certain types of military training programs. The AFOQT has 16 subtests with scores reported in five categories: Pilot, Navigator, Academic Aptitude, Verbal Abilities and Quantitative Abilities. Each category composite score is determined using a subset of the 16 subtests. Many airlines use written tests similar to the AFOQT to determine the aptitude of candidates for their training programs. Click on a subtest title to see sample questions with answers explained to determine your strengths and weaknesses.
